A 4-day immersion w/Kia Naddermier
OSLO, October 23-26 2026
Yoga Bhavana — The art of cultivation
Aṣṭāṅga Yoga | Prāṇāyāma | Meditation | Buddha Dharma
Yoga Bhāvanā, the Cultivation of Yoga - is a path to intimacy. A deep familiarisation with our entire human experience: body, breath, mind, heart, relationships. Ultimately it’s a way of looking at the world where we are not alone, but part of something larger. A world of unending interdependence and connection.
– Kia Naddermier
Yoga Bhāvanā: The Art of Cultivation – is an invitation to approach Yoga as a Journey of Becoming. By liberating ourselves from the idea that our practice has an end-point, it inspires a commitment to the path of Yoga itself.
In her teaching, Kia weaves Aṣṭāṅga Yoga with classical Prāṇayāma and Buddha Dharma into an integrated, embodied approach to practice. During the immersion we build powerful tools and profound resources, allowing us to grow our practice as a path to wholeness, compassion and being of benefit to the world.
We approach these transformative teachings with an open mindset, enabling us to inform and inspire our practice regardless of current experience. This workshop welcomes all interested practitioners and teachers.
Program
Prāṇa & Mettā Bhāvanā – The Cultivation of Breath and Wisdom of Heart
Friday Evening & Saturday Afternoon (2 x 2hrs)
Friday: 17:00-19:00, Saturday 14:00-16:00
Dedicated to the practices of Prānayāma (Kaivalyadham lineage) as well as reflections around the Buddha Dharma – these lovingly crafted sessions establish a home ground within our subtle body from where transformation can take place. Woven throughout is an enquiry into Mettā - the heart's capacity for wisdom and compassion - held in dialogue with the breath, the body, and the Dharma.
Āsana Bhāvanā – An Embodied Approach to Aṣṭāṅga Yoga
Saturday, Sunday & Monday morning (3 x 3hrs)
Saturday & Sunday 9:00-12:00, Monday 7:00-10:00
These dynamic master classes weave together Dharma, somatic inquiry, theory, and Aṣṭāṅga practice into a single, integrated arc of study and experience. Each day we move through key elements of the series with an explorative mindset – examining universal movement principles and energetic actions that support an attuned practice rooted in yogic principles.
You will also be introduced to Kāya Bhāvanā, Kia’s unique somatic preparatory sequences, that offer a powerful ground for your Āsana practice to unfold with integrity, ease and clarity. These in-depth sessions will open up new dimensions that will continue to inspire your practice long after the workshop concludes.
Kia will be assisted in all classes by Minka Qvale.
